Autopano Video Pro becomes preferred stitching method

We were previously using Video-Stitch as our stitching software and utilizing the H3Pro7 template.  However, there were some issues with this process which we found could be solved by switching to Autopano Video Pro.

1.  With Autopano we weren’t restricted to a Nivida card which allowed more flexibility of the machines we could render on.

2.  Autopano’s evaluates the footage and then creates a pano based on the footage.  This removes the need for the H3Pro7 template and creates a more seamless stitch.

3.  Once the stitch is created, you can easily adjust the pano using Autopano Giga to create a flat horizon and adjust the center point in the video.  This is a huge advantage because we no longer have to orient the rig at an angle which would pick up the rig’s stand.  Now the stand is not a distraction in the video.  Also, we can have the video start on the main subject when needed.  This functionality is missing with video-stich.
